Pretreatment
The basics have to be right
To permanently ensure good adhesion, it is usually necessary to appropriately pre-treat the substrate. Proper pre-treatment determines the quality and durability of the paint finish. The right choice depends on the material and the final use of the product.
A bath beforehand
Depending on the material, alkaline degreasing, pickling, iron and zinc phosphatising, zirconisation or passivation are chosen. These treatments take place in immersion baths. The dimensions of the baths are: 3000 mm (l), 800 mm (w), 1250 mm (d).
Stainless steel parts are mostly blasted as pre-treatment.
